Portland Saturday Market | SW Naito Parkway

Saturdays 10am - 5pm, Sundays 11am - 4:30pm, March-December

Open every Saturday and Sunday from March-December, this riverside market is the largest continually operating arts-and-crafts fair in the United States, drawing up to 750,000 visitors during its season. Combining the vibes of an arts show, a live street concert and an open-air bazaar, the Portland Saturday Market has been a beloved Rose City tradition since 1974.

Portland Farmers Market | Portland State University

Market Hours: Saturdays 8:30am - 2pm

The Saturday Market is located at Portland State University in the South Park Blocks between SW Hall and SW Montgomery. A close street address to this market is 1717 SW Park Avenue.

NW Filmmakers' Festival | NW Film Center

November 12-17

The Northwest's premiere showcase of new work by regional filmmakers, the Northwest Filmmakers' Festival - for 39 years called the Northwest Film & Video Festival - brings artists and audiences together for a singular community celebration. Each year the Festival draws more than 400 entries from filmmakers in Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, presenting to the public carefully selected programs of outstanding work and awarding critical recognition to top juror- and audience-recognized films. After the Festival, the event lives on in the form of the "Best of the Northwest" touring program, presented at key cultural and educational organizations across the Northwest.

Oregon Zoo Lights

November 27 - January 3

It wouldn't be the holidays in Portland without a visit to ZooLights, the Oregon Zoos' annual winter festival featuring more than a million LED lights.

Festival of Lights | The Grotto

November 27 - December 30

The Grotto's Christmas Festival of Lights is the largest Christmas choral festival in the world. The festival features nearly 160 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region's finest school, church and civic choirs. Offering a family-oriented blend of traditional celebration and serene reflection, the festival theme "Angels on High" reflects the special season of hope that Christmas offers to many thousands of families from around the Pacific Northwest.

Tree Lighting Ceremony | Pioneer Courthouse Sq

November 28

Thousands of Portlanders will gather at the Square to celebrate 30 years of lighting of the spectacular 75ft Tree provided by Stimson Lumber Company. This year's event will feature a holiday sing-a-long featuring Thomas Lauderdale with members of Pink Martini, "Oregon's Own" 234th Army Band and the Pacific Youth Choir. A pre-show with the NW Community Gospel Choir will begin at 5:00pm. The 30th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will also be aired live on KGW.

Willamette Valley wineries throw open their doors for special events each year during Thanksgiving Weekend. To celebrate friends, family, and the completion of another harvest. Join us to kick off the holiday season as 150 wineries offer special tastings, food pairings, live music, holiday discounts, and more. Each winery celebrates the festive weekend with its own flair.
