One of the region's most vibrant and active visual arts events.
Founding members of the Portland Art Dealers Association (PADA) initiated Portland, Oregon's First Thursday gallery art walk twenty-six years ago. For this year-round, monthly event, galleries open new exhibitions of fine art, including painting, sculpture, photography, glass art, fiber art, video art, and innovative conceptual works and installations. Since then, many local business in Portland's Pearl District, Northwest District, and Downtown, have taken a note from PADA and created their own First Thursday events to bring neighborhoods alive with arts and culture.

With innovation and creativity, the show has kept pace with today's consumers throughout its history, offering a great opportunity to buy unique gifts in all price ranges. Since 1982, the population of the Portland/Vancouver area has considered the Christmas Bazaar to be both a holiday tradition and a great resource for shopping for the holidays.

Held in the heart of downtown Portland, the Holiday Ale Festival keeps attendees warn and dry under a large clear top tent allowing for views of the city lights. Gas heaters create a cozy ambience under the boughs of one of the region’s largest decorated Christmas trees. The 18th Annual Holiday Ale Festival featuring 50+ big, craft beers at one winter event. Expect to sample carefully crafted winter ales from 10 Barrel Brewing Co, 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Burnside Brewing Co and more!

The Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights is the largest Christmas choral festival in the world. The festival features nearly 160 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region’s finest school, church and civic choirs. Offering a family-oriented blend of traditional celebration and serene reflection, the festival theme “Angels on High” reflects the special season of hope that Christmas offers to many thousands of families from around the Pacific Northwest.
